FOURTH ELEMENT AQUANAUT MASK

Description

The Aquanaut freediving mask features a new design of silicone skirt which has been developed to fit as many face shapes as possible from a single design.

The low volume freediving mask, whilst compact in size, offers a surprisingly wide field of view, making this not just great for freediving, but a very capable all-purpose mask. It is fitted with a moulded silicone strap which is interchangeable with a fourth element 100% recycled mask strap (sold separately).

Zero plastic packaging We set out to reduce and remove all plastic waste from all our masks. Instead of packaging our masks in traditional hard plastic cases, we’ve opted for a zero plastic, low volume mask case.

Lens Options:

CLARITY:

Maximising the amount of transmitted light, without any tint from impurities in the glass, the CLARITY is the ideal lens for night divers and photographers. CLARITY is also the perfect lens for teaching – allowing students and instructors to clearly see each other’s eyes.

The CLARITY lens is manufactured with the highest level of purity to delivery maximum visual acuity during a dive.

CONTRAST:

Filtering out some of the mid-range wavelengths of light in the visible spectrum, to CONTRAST lens has a green appearance.

Particularly when diving in temperate waters, images seen through the lens show an increase in contrast, accentuating brighter and darker areas, increasing the perception of visual acuity.

The CONTRAST lens provides full UVA and UVB protection from harmful ultraviolet.

Say Goodbye to Foggy Masks!

Did you know that without proper treatment, a new mask will be foggy?! During the manufacturing process, a thin layer of silicone accumulates on the mask lens, which cannot be eliminated by generic mask cleaners.

The solution? Sea Buff to the rescue! Sea Buff is an abrasive but gentle mask cleaner, containing tiny crystals which safely and effectively remove the layer, resulting in a perfectly clear and undamaged mask. Simply put a blob on the inside of each lens and then use your finger to rub in a circular motion repeatedly – you will feel the crystals under your fingers which will be carefully rubbing away the fog-prone layer. Do this for a good 10 minutes before using a new mask, and then again if you continue to experience any foggy patches.

Once the mask is treated, you can use an antifog liquid, such as McNett Sea Drops or Cressi Antifog Spray before each dive or snorkel to ensure a clear mask throughout.
